About Standard Resin

Standard Resin is a 405 nm photopolymer formulated for high-precision SLA printing. With a tensile strength of 36–53 MPa, flexural strength of 59–70 MPa, and a Shore hardness of 79D–84D, it delivers a rigid, smooth-surfaced part that captures fine geometry with exceptional fidelity.

We print your Standard Resin parts at layer heights down to 0.05 mm on professional LCD/SLA machines, achieving surface finishes that rival injection moulding for display applications. Its ~1.195 g/cm³ density and ~7.1% volume shrinkage are compensated in our print profiles for accurate dimensional output.

Standard Resin is ideal for parts where visual quality and surface detail are the primary requirements — miniatures, architectural models, dental mockups, product demos, and detailed functional prototypes where FDM surface texture is unacceptable.

Miniatures & Scale Models Tabletop figurines, architectural models, detailed replicas
Display Models & Demos Product demos, branded mockups, presentation prototypes
Dental & Medical Mockups Anatomical models, surgical planning aids, dental study models
Visual Prototypes Form-study models, design reviews, aesthetic prototyping
Jewellery & Art Wax-cast masters, art objects, intricate decorative pieces

Not sure if Standard Resin is right for your application?

Standard Resin is ideal for display models, miniatures, and visual prototypes. For parts needing toughness or flex, Tough Resin is recommended. For optical clarity or light transmission, Clear Resin is available. For large structural parts, our FDM service with PLA or ABS is better suited.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard Resin excels at any application where surface quality and fine detail are the primary requirement — miniatures, scale models, display prototypes, dental mockups, jewellery casting masters, and visual presentation parts. It is not recommended for parts that will be dropped, flexed, or used as functional snap-fits.
Standard Resin delivers better surface detail and a smoother finish, but is more brittle. Tough Resin (45–70 MPa flexural strength, 14–25% elongation at break) can absorb impacts and flex without cracking, making it suitable for functional parts, enclosures, and joints. Choose Standard Resin for looks; choose Tough Resin for function.
We print Standard Resin at layer heights down to 0.05 mm (25 microns) on professional SLA machines, capturing features as fine as 0.1 mm. This produces surfaces that closely resemble injection moulding in terms of smoothness and detail fidelity.
Yes. Cured Standard Resin sands, primes, and paints excellently. We recommend washing with IPA immediately after printing, followed by a full UV post-cure cycle before any sanding or painting. Parts can be drilled with small bits but may crack under force — use low speeds.
Our resin printers support a build volume of 210×118×220 mm. For larger parts, we can split and bond them using UV-cure adhesive. Contact us with your file dimensions and we will advise the best approach.
